Step Pads for your 1926-1936 Dodge boat are now available, they are the easiest way to bring back a factory-original appearance to your decks. The black pads are the earlier models, as used on Dodge Watercars (422 and 822) and Model 826 and others pre-1930, they mount to the deck with oval-head screws and trim washers. The white elliptical pads are for boats produced at the Newport News factory after late 1929. These pads are -precise- replications of the original pads, with exact pyramid size and spacing. The ‘DODGE’ letters are taken from an intact original pad. They are vacuum cast from a UV stable product that is quite firm, but remains somewhat flexible over time. Beware of pads for sale out there that are simply casts off an original pad, the pyramids have degraded in shape and the pads have shrunken over the years, sometimes as much as 1/2” in length. Our white pads have been sized to accommodate the vast majority of trim rings, but there are still some trim rings out there that are odd in shape, if this is the case we will work with you to fit your current trim rings. Price for either pad is 40.00 each, please contact us at dtriano@mac.com to discuss your order, production time, and shipping charges.

On Dodge boats manufactured at the Newport News factory after late 1929, wiring connections throughout the boats received special attention. A red rubber ‘boot’ was pushed onto the end of each wire, the wire was then stripped, the end connector was crimped and soldered in place, and then the rubber boot was pushed over the soldered connection. This technique has been thoroughly documented, and we can provide original example photos to you with your order showing the boots in use. We are pleased to now offer reproductions of these rubber boots for #10 and #12 gauge wire. In the photo you can see an original boot next to our reproduction. Each boot is .75 each.
